When to pick laser over die cutting
Laser cutting has no tooling cost, so it suits prototypes, complex outlines, and runs too small to justify a die. Die cutting is cheaper per piece at higher quantities.
Laser also engraves, so part numbers and logos can be marked in the same step. Material choice matters: some rubbers and plastics cut cleanly and some leave residue, so tell us the material and thickness.
