Plastic Extrusion

Custom plastic extrusion

Plastic extrusion forms a continuous profile by pushing melted thermoplastic through a shaped die. It suits parts with the same cross section along their length: edge trim, seals, channels, tubing and protective covers.

Extrusion usually has lower tooling cost than injection molding for long, constant-section parts, and the profile can be cut to any length. Co-extrusion joins a rigid and a flexible material in one profile, for example a hard mounting leg with a soft sealing lip.

To review your part we need a drawing or sample, the performance you need (flexibility, UV, chemical or temperature exposure), the length and yearly volume, and any tolerance that matters to fit. If your part needs a closed shape or fine detail, see Plastic Injection. For rubber profiles see Rubber Extrusion and Dual Durometer Rubber Extrusions. Send a drawing or sample through the quote form and we will review it with you.
