As long as your part has a geometry that can be machined, we can injection mold it and in less time than other molders. Plastic products have routinely become a more cost efficient way of delivering the engineered geometry for your component needs. Coi works with advanced aluminum alloy molds and precise, high-speed CNC machining to eliminate the costly and time-consuming custom engineering that normally goes into the development of injection-mold tooling. We also support an ever-increasing degree of part size and complexity including many types of undercuts, tall/thin ribs or bosses, off-axis features and more.
PROTOTYPING
Rapid prototyping processes like stereolithography (SLA), fused deposition modeling (FDM) and selective laser sintering (SLS) are fine for testing form and fit, but they are no substitute for testing with real injection-molded parts. With Coi, you’re able to get injection-molded parts very quickly so you can begin functional testing before going to production.
TOOLING
When your production tooling won’t be ready for another three or four months, bridge tooling is a great way to make a run of parts for pilot production or market testing. Bridge tooling through COI-MOLD™ is ready to go with no additional cost or delay.
PRODUCTION
If your volume requirements don’t justify expensive steel production tooling, Coi can supply production parts to meet your full requirements. Multi-cavity aluminum molds can be very cost effective, and Coi will ensure that the tools last for the life of your project.
