Responde a una pregunta sencilla: \u00bfhasta qu\u00e9 punto puede ser apretado este material y hasta qu\u00e9 punto se estira antes de romperse? Este es el procedimiento que se aplica seg\u00fan la norma ASTM D412 y c\u00f3mo interpretar los resultados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"position:relative;padding-bottom:56.25%;height:0;overflow:hidden;max-width:100%;\"><iframe style=\"position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%;height:100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/qflrfqOtO2k\" title=\"Prueba de resistencia a la tracci\u00f3n del caucho, ASTM D412\" loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qu\u00e9 mide la prueba<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El est\u00e1ndar ASTM D412 cubre la prueba de tensi\u00f3n del caucho vulcanizado y los elast\u00f3meros termopl\u00e1sticos. Se corta un trozo de forma de mancuerna a partir de una chapa moldeada o de una pieza acabada. El trozo se sujeta con pinzas en ambos extremos en un tester de tensi\u00f3n y se tira con una velocidad constante hasta que se rompe. La velocidad habitual es de 500 mm por minuto (20 pulgadas por minuto).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La m\u00e1quina registra la fuerza y el alargamiento durante todo el proceso. A partir de esa curva, el ensayo reporta varios valores:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Resistencia a la tracci\u00f3n:<\/strong> la m\u00e1xima presi\u00f3n a la que lleg\u00f3 la muestra antes de romperse, en MPa o psi.<\/li><li><strong>Ultimate alargamiento:<\/strong> cu\u00e1nto se estir\u00f3 la muestra al romperse, en porcentaje de su longitud original. Un resultado de 400% significa que se estir\u00f3 hasta cinco veces su longitud original.<\/li><li><strong>Modulo (la tensi\u00f3n en un dado valor alargamiento):<\/strong> el esfuerzo en un tramo determinado, como el de 100% o 300%. Es una medida de la rigidez del caucho durante el proceso de estiramiento.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">C\u00f3mo leer los resultados<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un alto resistencia a la tracci\u00f3n m\u00f3dulo alargamiento suele indicar que el compuesto es de alta calidad. Un m\u00f3dulo alto significa que el compuesto es m\u00e1s r\u00edgido. Los n\u00fameros deben leerse conjuntamente y en relaci\u00f3n con el tipo de compuesto.
